Mohammad Mokhtari
Mohammad Mokhtari ( Persian محمد مختاری Mohammad Mochtari , born April 21, 1942 ; † December 1998 ) was an Iranian writer and poet . He was the victim of the chain killings . Mohammad Mokhtari disappeared on December 3, 1998 and was found dead seven days later.
Together with Mohammad Dscha'far Puyandeh , Huschang Golschiri , Kazem Kordavani , Ali Ashraf Darvischiyan and Mansur Kuschan , he founded the independent writers' association Kanun . Mohammad Ja'far Puyandeh was found missing since December 9, 1998 and also found dead on December 13, 1998. His death was one of a long series of murders of intellectuals and opposition activists known as “ chain murders ”. The Iranian Ministry of Information and Intelligence under Gholamhossein Mohseni-Eschei and the later Minister of the Interior Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi are linked to the murders .
