Life
In the first half of his life he studied the works of Arab authors . Their influence can be demonstrated in several of his poems. Both the chosen vocabulary, the poetic meters and the topics dealt with show this influence. His personal and original thoughts, his dexterity in presentation and description, the choice of metaphors and comparisons make him one of the "great" poets. He describes different aspects of nature in a stimulating way. He also brought new facets to the Bacchian poems. He also excelled in strophic poetry ( Mosammath ).
