Fernando A. Navarro
Fernando A. Navarro (* 1962 ) is a Spanish doctor and linguist .
Life
Navarro graduated from the Universidad de Salamanca in 1986 and specialized in clinical pharmacology at the Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla in Santander in 1991 . From 1993 to 2002 he worked as a medical translator at Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel . Today he works as a medical translator for various companies and teaches medical translation at the universities of Jaime I and Pompeu Fabra . Among other things, he published the Diccionario de dudas y dificultades de traducción del inglés médico , Traducción y lenguaje en medicina (1997), Parentescos insólitos del lenguaje (2002) and numerous specialist articles. He was in charge of the technical coordination of the Diccionario de términos médicos (2011) of the Real Academia Nacional de Medicina . He was awarded the III Premio ESLETRA for his academic translation work.
