Fernando Gorriarán , full name Fernando Gorriarán Fontes , (born November 27, 1994 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.68 meter tall midfielder Gorriarán was appointed to the Apertura 2013 from the youth team in the first division squad of the Uruguayan club River Plate Montevideo based in Montevideo . In the 2013/14 season he and his club took 3rd place in the overall table. Gorriarán contributed to this with 13 appearances in the Primera División . He didn't score a goal. In the 2014/15 season he was used in 21 first division games (one goal) and four games (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . During the 2015/16 season, he was featured 23 times (one goal) in the top Uruguayan league and five times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2016 . In the 2016 season he played 13 top division games (no goal). During the 2017 season, he made 16 further premier league appearances (four goals). In mid-June 2017, the Hungarian first division club Ferencváros Budapest signed him . So far (as of July 22, 2017) he was used there in a first division game (no goal) and four games (no goal) of the Europa League qualification.

National team

Gorriarán has no international appearances in the various age groups of the junior teams. However, he was part of the squad of the Uruguayan U-22s coached by Fabián Coito at the Pan American Games in Toronto in 2015 and won the tournament with the Celeste.
