Ferreiros is a place and a former municipality in northern Portugal .
Ferreiros belongs to the Amares county in the Braga district . The community had an area of 2.7 km² and 3213 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Ferreiros, Prozelo and Besteiros were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Ferreiros, Prozelo e Besteiros . Ferreiros is the seat of this newly formed community.
