The Associação Ferroviária de Esportes , AFE or Ferroviária for short , is a Brazilian football club from Araraquara in the state of São Paulo . Mascot is a locomotive.

history

The association was founded by the Araraquara Railway Company. From 1980 he was represented several times in the national championship of Brazil , including one in 1983 in the Série A. The last time he was represented in the 2002 Série C in the national championship. At the state level, the club commutes between the leagues throughout its history. So it was only in 2004 that he was promoted from Série B1 to Série A3, and from this to Série A2 in 2010. He finished as league champion in 2015 and qualified for the Série A1 again for the 2016 season.
