Ferruccio Casacci

Ferruccio Casacci (born April 28, 1934 in Turin ; † April 13, 2011 there ) was an Italian actor and filmmaker .

Life

Casacci graduated from Andrea Costa's photography school and became an extra in film; then he founded the theater company La Fronda . In 1955 he played at the Teatro dell'Officina under Italo Alfaro and was later a. a. worked for the Teatro Stabile di Torino . He worked with Dario Fo and Franca Rame ; since the 1960s he has also been active on television, and since the middle of this decade as a composer and radio author.

In the late 1960s he turned to documentary film and was awarded for a work at the Bergamo Festival. In 1975 he cooperated with Swissair and made other films around the world. In 1986 Casacci took over the direction of the film I giardini degli inganni, which was only shown in Rome . More often he was still active as an actor. From 1987 to 1990 he taught at the Istituto Arte e Spettacolo . From 1993 he was artistic director of CKS Cinemedia and also worked as a dubbing director.

His son Massimiliano (* 1963) founded the electro rock band Subsonica in 1996 . Ferruccio Casacci died in the first half of April 2011 at the age of 76.
