Ferry Inn

The Ferry Inn is a restaurant and hotel in the Scottish town of Renfrew in the Renfrewshire Council Area . In 1980 the structure was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in Monument Category C. While Historic Scotland dates the year of construction of the building to 1829, according to the innkeeper it has existed since 1703. The discrepancy could point to a previous building that was replaced in 1829.

The producers of the Scottish television series River City used the Ferry Inn as inspiration for the interior design of a ship. The Ferry Inn also served as the backdrop for various scenes in the Orphans film .

description
