Prefabricated pools
A prefabricated pools , even pond tub or finished pond called, is a by primary forming of thermoplastics (such as molding or thermoforming , commonly known as "deep-drawing") or glass fiber reinforced plastics compact tub prepared (GRP), which as an artificial pond or swimming pool is buried in the ground. Occasionally, even above ground , as swimming pool , wading pool , or be used for drinking water storage as prefabricated pools offered.
A prefabricated pool is in contrast to a liner pond, which is made by laying pond liner .
history
Water basins were initially made of stone and concrete , later sealed with pitch or mastic asphalt , small garden ponds were initially made of glass fiber reinforced plastics (GRP).
material
Nowadays, hard, stable plastics are used for prefabricated pools , for example polyethylene (HD), rigid PVC or GRP, and pond liners for above-ground pools .
Due to the manufacturing process, deep-drawn basins have different layer thicknesses, which can easily result in leaks . A minimum layer thickness should be guaranteed.
