A production specialist with a federal certificate is a further education at the tertiary level in Switzerland . Lately she has been called a production specialist.

Admission
The prerequisite is usually a completed apprenticeship EFZ in the mechanical-technical or electrotechnical industry.

After completing four years of basic training, the course can be started immediately; after three years of basic training, evidence of at least two years of professional experience is required.

The course is part-time and takes two semesters.

Further training opportunity
Successful graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies and after another four semesters as a dipl. Technician HF mechanical engineering with a specialization in production engineering.

The first examination regulations came into effect on April 3, 2006. The revised examination regulations of May 30, 2012 are currently valid.
