The ship class Ferus Smit Ecobox comprises multi-purpose ships that were built on behalf of the shipping company Symphony Shipping at the Ferus Smit shipyard in Leer .
history
On November 21, 2013, Symphony Shipping commissioned the Ferus Smit shipyard to build six ships of this type. The delivery of the new buildings was agreed between spring 2015 and January 2018. In addition, two more ships were ordered on January 6, 2015 with delivery in 2016 and 2017, which will function as offshore supply ships.
