The fortress gates in Warmbad ( English Historical Gateways ) are two identical fortress gates of the protection force for German South West Africa in Warmbad in Namibia .
They have been a National Monument of Namibia since March 1st, 1974 .
They were built as the entrance to a fortress that was used in the fight against the Bondelswart . The fort itself was demolished in 1954. Today (as of April 2020) the gates serve as the entrance to the local police station .
