The Saxon fire brigade performance badge for fire fighting is a performance badge of the Free State of Saxony for all members of fire departments who have successfully passed the required examination course.

General

1. To promote fire-fighting training and preparation for the requirements of fire-fighting operations, the Free State of Saxony will receive a fire-fighting performance badge "extinguishing operations" in the following stages:

  • Bronze (copper colored)
  • Silver (old silver) and
  • gold

introduced.

Appearance

The fire service badge "extinguishing operations" is 30 × 38 mm high oval, solidly embossed, bordered with a wreath of oak leaves in relief . In the center is the coat of arms of the Free State of Saxony (11 × 13 mm). The coat of arms itself is in the national colors green and black with artificial enamel and is framed in gold. Left and right of the coat of arms are interrupted by the coat of arms flame wings in burgundy violet in the color RAL 4004. The fire brigade symbol is shown above the state coat of arms, consisting of a fire helmet with neck leather in front of a crossed fire hatchet and nozzle. Underneath is the curved lettering: LÖSCHEINSATZ , which is recessed and laid out in black. On the back is a needle with a counter hook or with a ball joint for attachment.

Acquisition

The fire service badge is taken according to the applicable guidelines (examination conditions). These are published on the website of the state fire brigade school (see web link).

Award

The award of the fire service badge and the corresponding certificate is carried out by the district fire chief / head of the professional fire service. The Saxon State Ministry of the Interior provides the districts / district-free cities with the fire service badges. You have to keep the proof of use for this.

Carrying method

The fire service badge is only worn at the highest level and only with fire service clothing on the left side of the chest as a cross . In addition to the fire service badge “fire fighting”, the fire service badge “technical assistance” may also be worn.
