Fire station (Gliwice)
The fire station is a neo-Gothic building in Gliwice , on ul. Wrocławska, ul. Kaszubska and ul. Akademicka (formerly Katowice avenue). It is a listed building.
History and architecture
The historicist brick building with a five-storey tube tower with a hipped roof was built between 1891 and 1901 according to a design by Adalbert Kelm , who was then Gliwice City Councilor, and was further expanded by his successor Otto Kranz . In addition to the main building, the building complex includes the garages, the carriage room and the connecting building.
