The Saxony-Anhalt fire brigade clasp is an award from the Ministry of the Interior and Sports of the State of Saxony-Anhalt . It is awarded to members of the fire brigade and other people for exemplary performance in fire service work or outstanding performance in operations.

history

The award was first donated by the Ministry of the Interior in August 1998, initially exclusively for members of volunteer fire brigades. The group of people for the award was extended by decree of December 2007 to the members of all fire departments and other people.

Description and way of carrying

The fire brigade clasp, awarded in one step, is a 70 mm wide and 28 mm high brass badge. It consists in the middle of a carmine-red oval 15 mm wide and 28 mm high with a raised embossed edge. On top of the oval is an 11 mm wide and 10 mm high gold-colored emblem, consisting of a fire helmet with a fire hatchet crossed behind it and a nozzle. To the right and left of the oval there is a step-shaped, relief-embossed , antique brass-colored oak leaf .

The fire brigade clasp is worn in the middle of the right breast pocket of the uniform jacket .
