Fight there !! Pyūta ( Japanese フ ァ イ ト だ !! ピ ュ ー 太 , also Fight! Puter ) is an anime television series from 1968. It is loosely based on the manga Doctor Tsuriri by Tsunezō Murotani , which was published in Japan in Shōnen Sunday magazine by Shogakukan . The work can be classified into the genres of Comedy , Science Fiction and Shōnen .

The boy Pyuta Imano helps his grandfather, Professor Tsulury (Tsuriri) , with his experiments. With these he looks for a means to stop the evil Walther VII and his assistant Glocky, who want to usurp world domination. But one of the experiments leads to an accident. So it happens that Pyuta's brain has to be replaced by a supercomputer. With his supernatural mental abilities acquired in this way, Pyuta takes on the fight against the villains. Walther VII acts on the operation of a computer that is inspired by the spirits of his ancestors. After his plans for conquest are thwarted by Pyuta, he is always punished by the spirits of his ancestors. In every episode, Pyuta meets the girl Kakko-chan, who always takes on a different role and gets to know Pyuta again and again.

Production and publication

The television series was created at Studio Hōsō Dōga Seisaku under the direction of Hiroe Mitsunobu, Jun Nagasawa and Kunitoshi Shiraishi. Like all anime series back then, it was produced in black and white. The main author was Yoshitake Suzuki, who borrowed the character of Tsulury / Tsuriri from the manga series of the same name by Tsunezo Murotani and also invented the character of Pyuta, which he made the protagonist. Takao Kodama was the artistic director. The music was composed by Hiroaki Hagiwara and the song Fight Da !! was used for the opening credits. Pyuta ( フ ァ イ ト だ !! ピ ュ ー 太 ) used by Four Jets. Its instrumental version was put under the credits. During the episodes the song Pyuta Guruguru Song Dare ga Shuyaku da ( ピ ュ ー 太 ぐ る ぐ る ソ ン グ だ れ が 主 役 だ? ) Is used, sung by Makiko Ito, Takeshi Sagami, Kyōji Kobayashi, Keiroku Seki and Masako Sugaya.

The 26 episodes, each 25 minutes long, were broadcast from April 6 to September 28, 1986 by MBS in Japan. The time slot was between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Manga

Tsunezō Murotani adapted the series, which in turn is loosely based on his manga Doctor Tsuriri ( ド ク タ ー ・ ツ ル リ ), also as a manga. This appeared parallel to the series in Bessatsu Shōnen Sunday magazine .
