fil_da_elephant (alternatively also called Elefantenhiphop ) is a German hip-hop group that focuses on the Christian faith . The group was founded in 2009 in Esslingen am Neckar. The group is under contract with 7skillz, a label of 7us media group GmbH.
The lyrics relate to the life of the rapper Fil and his belief in God.
The song The Reality was the winner of the week on bigFM's newcomer radio show . In 2013 the group's first album was released, called fil.ologie , which translates as “love of language” ( Greek philología ) or “science of fil”. In addition, the group won third place in the EigenSINNich band contest of the Evangelical Youth Organization . In 2014 the single Kämpfernatur was released, which was recorded together with Capo di Capi. European boxing champion Alexander Dimitrenko plays in the music video of the single . The second album fil.osophie was released in spring 2016.
