JinkoSolar Holding Co is a Chinese company based in Shanghai that was founded in 2006. JinkoSolar produces and sells solar cells , solar modules and mounting systems for solar modules. The subsidiary JinkoPower also operates its own solar parks with a nominal output of 1,006 MW (at the end of the 4th quarter of 2015). With a world market share of 7.3% and produced modules with a nominal output of 2.94 GW , JinkoSolar was the world's third largest manufacturer of crystalline solar modules in 2014. JinkoSolar has offices in 13 different countries, including China itself in Germany and the United States , Canada , Japan and Australia .

In 2012, JinkoSolar founded the subsidiary JinkoPower based in Haining ( Zhejiang province ), which operates solar parks with modules from JinkoSolar and sells the electricity generated .
In 2015, JinkoSolar entered into a strategic cooperation with the American chemical company DuPont to improve the efficiency and durability of solar modules and solar cells and to develop and supply improved materials, including Dupont metallization pastes and coating materials. Both companies are also planning to collaborate on marketing.
In the same year, JinkoSolar's subsidiary JinkoSolar (US) Inc. signed a cooperation agreement with the American microinverter manufacturer Enphase Energy in order to be able to offer the products of both companies in a bundle and to give customers access to the operation and maintenance service of Enphase Energy to increase system availability enable.
The sale of the photovoltaic project business was announced at the end of 2016.

JinkoSolar is listed on the New York Stock Exchange . So-called American Depositary Receipts are traded. The associated custodian is JPMorgan Chase . JinkoSolar is included in the Photovoltaik Global 30 Index , which contains the largest and most liquid companies in the solar energy sector.
