Gartenstadt branch church
The Gartenstadt branch church is located in the southern Gartenstadt settlement in the municipality of Hollabrunn in the Hollabrunn district in Lower Austria . The Roman Catholic branch church of the Hollabrunn parish church , consecrated to St. Mary, Help of Christians , belongs to the Hollabrunn dean's office in the Archdiocese of Vienna .
history
The branch church was built from 1970 to 1972 according to the plans of the architect Hans Petermair .
architecture
The modern sacred building with a raised central building is surrounded by lower side rooms and also includes a working day chapel. The mosaic on the outside of the main front was created by the painter Hermann Bauch .
The chancel is dominated by a large glass window, visions from the Apocalypse by the painter Franz Deéd . The music gallery is raised like a podium and contains an organ.
