The Roman Catholic Church in Großbuch ( Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) on the southern slope of the Zmullner Berg is a branch church of the parish St. Martin am Ponfeld, dean's office Klagenfurt-Land / Celovec-dežela. She is the St. Laurentius consecrated.

history

The core of the church dates from the 13th century.

Building

The choir tower church, which is partly covered with stone slabs, is surrounded by a walled cemetery. It has a small western vestibule, underneath a pointed, Gothic portal with an iron-studded door. The choir with a 5/8 end is late Gothic and has baroque frescoes. Roman stones are walled into the southern outer wall.

Facility

In the shrine of the baroque, two-pillar shrine -Altars with gable blasted is a colored aggregate carved figure of St. Laurentius. Assistant figures are on the left of St. Sebastian , on the right St. Rochus . On the southern wall of the nave hangs a large-format painting depicting St. Representing Anthony with angels. It originally hung in the Töltschach castle chapel . Some console statues ( Heart of Jesus , Mary with Child, St. Nepomuk) belong to the further facility. The organ is integrated into the parapet of the simple, wooden west gallery. On the parapet are the console figures of St. Laurentius on the left and a Christ resting on the right.
