The branch church of the Oberlaa parish church was built from 1952 according to the plans of the architect and sculptor Oskar Dechant as a free-standing, simple church in the middle of a green area and consecrated in 1955 . The simple hall church with a rectangular choir has a tower in the choir corner.

The exposed brick canteen with bobbins and an altar crucifix made of clay and the side altar figures of the Madonna and St. Francis of Assisi was designed by the sculptor Josef Souschill (1965).
