Filipp Valeryevich Nikandrov ( Russian Филипп Валерьевич Никандров ; * 1968 in Leningrad ) is a Russian architect. His work focuses on high-rise buildings and large projects with mixed use. His largest projects include the Evolution Tower in Moscow's financial district and the first construction phase of the Lakhta Center in Saint Petersburg , currently the tallest skyscraper in Europe .

Life

Nikandrov began his professional career in 1990 at the Urban Development Institute and later in Yuri Mityurev's architectural office. In 1997, as a senior architect at RMJM, he was responsible for the design of various projects in Great Britain, the Middle East and later in Russia. In 2011 Nikandrow switched to the Russian general planner Gorproject as chief architect, where he is responsible for the design of various high-rise projects in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Works

Lakhta Center in Saint Petersburg

As head of the design team, he took part in various international and regional competitions. One of his best-known major projects was the Okhta Center (later Lakhta Center ), which he accompanied from the competition to completion in 2010. The Lakhta Center, the Gazprom headquarters in Saint Petersburg, is nearing completion. With a planned height of 465 meters, it will be the tallest building in Europe.

As chief architect, Filipp Nikandrow designed the Moscow Evolution Tower and supervised the construction until completion in 2015. The Evolution Tower received international and national awards: 2nd place at the Emporis Skyscraper Awards 2016, finalist of the CTBUH Best Tall Building Awards 2015 and finalist of the MIPIM Award 2016, FIABCI 2018 Prix ​​d'Excellence (gold for the best class A office building).
