The film standard is used for receiving the shim , of the film , a photographic plate or a Digibacks in a view camera . In such cameras, the film standard is connected to the device for receiving the lens, the lens standard , with a bellows . They can be adjusted against each other in order to enable perspective and depth of field manipulation according to Scheimpflug's rule . Modern digital backs in the film standard can be connected directly to a computer via cables.
