Final Iceland ( English mutatis mutandis to Last Island ) is an island in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the westernmost of the Myriad Islands and is 7 km northwest of the Snag Rocks .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey mapped them using aerial photographs from Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from the years 1956 to 1957 as well as those that were created in 1958 with the help of the Westland Whirwind helicopter on board the Antarctic patrol ship HMS Protector . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after its geographical position as the westernmost of all islands at the northern end of the French Passage .
