Findefix

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Findefix, the pet register of the German Animal Welfare Association ( spelling : FINDEFIX ) is a free animal register maintained by the German Animal Welfare Association. The German Animal Welfare Association has been helping to find lost pets since 1981. As a non-profit organization, the German Animal Welfare Association and thus Findefix are not profit-oriented. In addition to TASSO, the Federal Veterinary Association names Findefix as a possibility for pet owners to register their animal free of charge in order to identify it and to be able to find the owner.

Registration

An animal identification is required for registration with Findefix . The owner can register his animal free of charge via the veterinary practice , the Findefix website or by post using a registration form, stating data such as species , breed , name, date of birth, gender and special physical characteristics. In the case of dogs, cats and ferrets, their EU ID number and the data of the pet owner are also recorded for making contact. The type of identification including the numbering is also saved. Registration with several providers is possible.

The animal owners receive a written confirmation. Dog owners receive a sticker for the collar with the number of the service telephone and a six-digit code under which the dog is listed in the register as an additional help in finding the dog.

Found reports and identification

If an animal has disappeared, the owners can report this to Findefix, the pet register of the German Animal Welfare Association, by phone or online. This is the missing person report to the German animal welfare association affiliated animal protection groups , animal shelters and other animal register - even in Europe - on.

Current search reports can be displayed via an online search card and narrowed down by entering a postcode and a radius.

Animals found can also be reported by phone or online. The animal is then identified - if possible - on the badge with a registration number, an existing tattoo number or chip .
