Finisher

Finisher ( Engl. "(To) finish", "complete", "end") is depending on the application, an anglicized or Scheinanglizismus the u. a. Can denote the following:

  • the participant in a running competition (e.g. a marathon or a five-kilometer run) who has completed the prescribed distance within a set time limit (Anglicism / sham Anglicism)
  • a liquid that is used in photo wet chemistry for film development (pseudo- Anglicism )
  • generally a large-scale photography laboratory (bogus Anglicism)
  • the last stage in professional laundry care before the textiles are returned to the customers. It can be about smoothing the laundry (e.g. tunnel finisher ) or about cleaning the fabric e.g. B. to be equipped with an impregnation . (Bogus Anglicism)
  • in the case of a printer or copier, a downstream device that carries out further processing steps (such as punching or stapling; anglicism)
