Finn Fuglestad

Finn Fuglestad (born August 22, 1942 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian historian .

Act

Finn Fuglestad received his PhD in 1976 from the Center of West African Studies at the University of Birmingham with an introduction to the history of Niger during the French colonial era . He published numerous writings on this topic, especially in the 1970s. He soon specialized in the history of Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, but also published on the history of the plague in Europe. Fuglestad worked from 1984 to 1991 as associate professor of history and from 1991 as professor of history at the University of Oslo .
