Fiorella Infascelli

Fiorella Infascelli (born October 29, 1952 in Rome ) is an Italian filmmaker.

Life

Infascelli, daughter of the producer Carlo , studied literature and worked as a photographer before working as an assistant to several important directors from 1973 onwards. In 1980 she made her first own film; Ritratto di donna distesa was created for Italian television. In 1987 she made her cinema debut with La maschera, followed by the autobiographical Zuppa di pesce, starring Philippe Noiret in the role of her father in 1991 . For television, Infascelli was responsible for a number of documentary articles on filmmakers supplemented with interviews. In 2003 she briefly returned to the feature film with Il vestito da sposa , which was positively received. In 2011 her Pugni chiusi won the “Controcampo Italiano” as best documentary at the Venice Film Festival .
