Carlo Infascelli

Carlo Infascelli (born August 31, 1913 in Rome ; † October 30, 1984 ibid) was an Italian film producer , director and screenwriter .

Life

Infascelli worked as a journalist and film dealer before working as a producer on two films in 1941. He was only active again in this function eight years later, but intensified this work in the 1950s, in which he is considered to be the inventor of the extremely successful music revues, which presented popular artists and songs in episodesque form, garnished with light, comedic plot . The main director of these films, which were often also scripted by Infascelli and almost never shown outside of Italy, was Domenico Paolella . From the mid-1960s he turned to genre film; a few times as a director.

After the death of his son Roberto , he retired from the industry.
