DDSG timetable

The first-DDSG Logistics Holding is an inland shipping company owned by the Ukrainian iron ore conveyor Ferrexpo .

history

The DDSG-Cargo was the largest shipping company in the western and central European inland navigation , based in Vienna. 160 ships with a transport capacity of 230,000 tons are carried on the Danube , Rhine and Main on 3,500 kilometers of waterway between the North Sea and the Black Sea . The company took up the name Erste Donau-Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft again.

DDSG-Cargo emerged in 1993 from the freight transport sector of what was once the largest inland shipping company in the world, the First Danube Steamship Company , which was founded in 1829 . The first owner was the German Stinnes AG , which, however, was sold on to Gerhard Meier AG , also a German company , in 1997, which expanded the company considerably until 2007. Another sale took place in 2007. Since then, the new owner has been the Serbian-Cypriot consortium East Point Holdings Limited under the leadership of the influential Serbian entrepreneur and millionaire Zoran Drakulic . For this purpose, the Helogistics Holding , based in Vienna, was founded, which is also the owner of the Hungarian shipping company Mahart. At the end of 2010, Helogistics Holding was 100% taken over by Ferrexpo and renamed First-DDSG Logistics Holding in 2013.
