The First Canadian Center is a 167 meter high office building in Downtown Calgary , Alberta , Canada . It is located at 350 7th Avenue SW and has a bright, modern facade shape.

history

The building was designed by Bregman + Hamann Architects. When it was completed in 1982, it was the tallest building in Calgary, which exceeded the Scotia Center with its 155 meters.

Earlier plans take into account that a building complex with two high-rise buildings was to be built on the site. The second building should have 64 floors. Due to the declining economy in Calgary during the 1980s, these plans were abandoned.

use

In addition to several smaller tenants, the largest office space has been rented by the Bank of Montreal , which also operates a bank branch on the ground floor.
