First Minister (Wales)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

First Minister ( Welsh : Prif Weinidog , German First Minister ) is in Wales (as in Scotland and Northern Ireland ) the title of the head of government of the regional government. This designation deliberately differentiates itself from the Prime Minister , who is the head of government for the entire United Kingdom .

The Welsh Parliament is headed by the First Minister with a cabinet of nine Ministers. The current incumbent is Mark Drakeford . The 60 members of the National Assembly are called MS ( Members of the Senedd ), in Welsh AS ( Aelodau'r Senedd ).
