The fish fountain ( Romanian Fântâna cu peşti ) is an artesian fountain in the 1st district of Cetate in the western Romanian city ​​of Timişoara .

The fish fountain, centrally located between the opera and the Romanian Orthodox cathedral , was built in 1957 in the middle of today's Piața Victoriei . The fountain is made of bronze and originally had the shape of a five-pointed star . During a later renovation, the basin was given a round shape.

In the middle there is a water-spouting capital , supplemented by the water-spouting fish laid out in a circle. The latter gave the fountain its name.

In 1969 the band Transsylvania Phoenix shot their video for the song Totuși sunt circa voi here .
