The Fischerbuberl-Brunnen is a fountain on Wiener Platz in Munich by the sculptor Ignatius Taschner . The fountain depicts a naked, guarded boy standing on a ball, each with a fish looking up in his arms. A third fish appears, clamped between the child's feet. The fountain was originally set up on the Viktualienmarkt in 1910 , next to the open-air bank . When the Schrannenhalle was rebuilt , the fountain had to give way and found a new location on the western corner of Wiener Platz in Haidhausen . Today's fountain figure is a cast of the original from 1934. In 1911 the fountain was copied with minor changes by the sculptor Hugo Lederer for the fish market in Aachen. There the fountain is called Fischpüddelchen . There are also other similar wells.
