The Fish Lake Valley is a 2,600 km² valley on the border between the states of Nevada and California in the United States . It is located 70 km east of the Long Valley Caldera . The valley is delimited to the east by the Silver Peak Range and to the west by the White Mountains . In the center of the Fish Lake Valley is the village of Dyer . Fish Lake , after which the valley was named, is five kilometers north of the village .
