Fish pool
Fish Pool ASA is a regulated trading venue for financial supply contracts for seafood and fish , especially salmon , in Bergen , Norway .
The main shareholders of the trading center are the Imarex Group and the energy supplier Bergen Energi . Trading began in 2006 and is based on the rules of a futures exchange under the supervision of the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority. Transactions can be settled bilaterally as well as through clearing (via NOS Clearing ASA). Fish Pool is the world's only trading center for fish and seafood derivatives ; in 2009 almost 150,000 futures contracts were traded.
