The Water Polo Arena was a temporary water sports arena in London . It was located in the district of Stratford ( London Borough of Newham ) in the southern part of the Olympic Park and offered 5,000 spectators.

Construction work began in spring 2011 and was completed in May 2012. During the 2012 Olympic Games , the men's and women's water polo tournaments were held here. In addition to a competition pool, the hall also contained a warm-up pool. The facility was connected to the neighboring Aquatics Center , so that rooms (e.g. for press and catering) could be used jointly to reduce costs. After the competitions, the Water Polo Arena was dismantled; it will then be fully or partially rebuilt elsewhere in Great Britain .
