Fitz van Thom
Fitz van Thom (born March 8, 1977 in Leipzig ) is a German actor , director and filmmaker .
Life
Fitz van Thom has been involved in numerous plays, cabaret programs and films since he was 13, directing films and plays, and writing scripts and plays. After his acting training from 1994 to 1997, he worked at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and other theaters as well as for various film production companies in Germany and abroad. In 2004 he produced his first completely own feature film I die , in which he also directed and took on one of the leading roles.
In 2014 he got his first international leading role in the German-Russian television series Old Rifle (Staroe ruzhjo). He had his first international leading role in the war drama Edinichka , which premiered on May 9, 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the war. In the film, shot on location in Russia, he plays SS-Obersturmführer Harald Koch, who, as the commander of the German troops, has the task of completely eliminating the Soviet unit "Edinichka" and conquering the only surviving bridge.
Fitz van Thom has been realizing his own film projects on behalf of his film production company Phantom Produktion since 2008.
