Fixin is a wine-growing region in the northern part of the Côte de Nuits in France and classified as an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée . The wines with this name come from the municipality of Fixin of the same name and from the neighboring municipality of Brochon . The total vineyard area is 109 ha , of which 21 ha as Premier Cru and 88 ha as Côte de Nuits-Villages, the amount of wine produced in 2008 was almost 5000 hectoliters .

The Premier Crus are called Arvelets, Clos de la Perrière , Clos du Chapitre and Hervelets (all around 5 hectares each) and Clos Napoléon (1.8 hectares). Almost exclusively red wine - namely the Pinot Noir variety - is grown. The Premiers Crus are long-lived wines that can keep up with the quality of those from the neighboring Gevrey-Chambertin appellation .
