Fjölskyldu- og húsdýragarðurinn, roughly German: "Family and Pet Zoo", is an amusement park and a small zoo in Laugardalur in Iceland's capital Reykjavík . It is located next to the Botanical Garden and not far from Laugardalsvöllur , the Icelandic national stadium.

The "pet zoo", which was later expanded to include a few wild animals such as seals and mink, was opened on May 19, 1990;

The program of the new Mayor of Reykjavík Jón Gnarr elected in 2010 included the demand “We need polar bears!”
