Fjøløy is an island in the North Sea on the Norwegian coast. It belongs to the municipality of Stavanger in the province of Rogaland .

The island is located on the south side of the Boknafjord, west of the larger island of Mosterøy and north of Stavanger. To the north of Fjøløy, separated by the Klostervågen , is the island of Klosterøy, with which there is a road connection via a bridge, which ultimately leads to the mainland via other islands. In addition, the island is surrounded by a large number of smaller islands. The larger ones are Fjøløya in the north, Kuholmen , Søre Lamholmen , Stora Svarthovet , Litla Svarthovet in the east and Fluarholmen , Svartaskjeret , Urholmen and Jensholmen in the west towards the sea . Fjøløy stretches from northwest to southeast over about 2.1 kilometers with a width of up to about 1.75 kilometers. It reaches a height of 85 meters. Lake Fjøløyvatnet lies in the interior of the island .

There are several farmsteads and smaller settlements on the island.

Due to its location on the coast, the island was of strategic importance for shipping. On the west coast of the island is the lighthouse Fjøløy, first built in 1849, and the Army Coast Battery 5./978 Fjøløy, built during the Second World War . Several agricultural buildings on the north coast of the island are listed buildings . In the northwest there is a prehistoric burial complex. In relation to the neighboring larger islands, tourism plays a subordinate role.
