Flávio Cardoso Neves

Flávio Cardoso Neves is an East Timorese politician. He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party. From 2012 to 2015, Neves was Vice Minister for Transport and Communication.

Career

From 1991 to 1997 Neves studied at the Indonesian Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta .

In 2002, Neves became National Director of the National Directorate of Informatics and Communications Technology in the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Government Works. He held the office until November 2010. Then he went to the Institute Technology of Telecom to study engineering for telecommunications for two years. On August 8, 2012, he was sworn in as Vice Minister for Transport and Communication. He held the office until the government reshuffle on February 16, 2015.

Neves was initially appointed National Director for Communication and Technology and in 2019 President of the Council of the Administration of the Port Authority of East Timor ( Konsellu Administrasaun Autoridade Porturiu Timor-Leste APORTIL) for the period from 2019 to 2022.
