Flute player, at the new location in Eilendorf (2011)

The flute player was a fountain with a sculpture of the same name on the edge of the Elisengarten in Aachen , North Rhine-Westphalia .

Matthias Corr created this in the 1920s plastic from bronze .

It stood in the Elisengarten on the edge of a pond. A water fountain sprang from the center of the round basin . The water rippled in winter because it was heated by the Aachen thermal springs .

Due to the redesign of the Elisengarten , the fountain was initially dismantled in 2008. The flute player statue was erected in 2010 in the Aachen district of Eilendorf .
