The Flanders Moraine ( English for Flanders moraine ) is an approximately 3 km long and 1 km wide moraine on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It extends in the Vestfold Mountains .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them descriptive on December 3, 1984. With its press mounds , small lakes and streams running under the ice, it is reminiscent of battlefields in Flanders during the First World War .
