from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Flarupholz ( Danish Flarup Skov ) is between the towns of Flarup and Saustrup in fishing in the northeastern Schleswig-Holstein located forest area . The Flarupholz has an area of 27 hectares, 10 hectares of which fall under the Flarupgaard estate. Politically, the forest belongs to the municipality of Saustrup in the parish of Norderbrarup. In the Danish period the parish belonged to the Struxdorfharde . In the southeast it goes over into the Saustrup enclosure, which was replanted in 1991 as Neuwald by the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The Flarupholz is a mixed beech forest in a strong, hilly landscape with old trees from around 1850 and a species-rich bird life. The Flaruper and the Saustrup-Flaruper Au run south-east of the forest (and towards the Saustruper enclosure). The field name is first documented in writing as Flarupskov in 1804. In the following, the name refers to a Katenstelle located in the forest .
