history
Yves Lendenmann alias Flava and Brian Abey alias Stevenson were born in Bern in 1986 and 1988, respectively . The two met in early childhood and played in various bands in the 1990s. In addition to vocal interludes on stage, they played piano and drums; this is how the first recordings and tapes were made. With their first appearances, the two became more and more familiar with the scene and the subject matter and began to produce music.
In 2005-2009, Flava & Stevenson worked with Christopher S and Mike Candys. This collaboration resulted in Cosmic Girl , For You , Excuse , The Night You Murdred Love and others. This cooperation enabled Flava & Stevenson to enter the Swiss club scene.
From 2010 Flava and Stevenson started making their own productions. In 2009, the Fuck the DJ compilation was their first CD on the market.
At the end of 2011 Flava & Stevenson signed a contract with the Swiss label "Profimedia", whereupon the debut single Rio de Janeiro (number 29 in the Swiss singles charts) and the accompanying album Yellow (number 22 in the Swiss album charts) were released in early 2012 followed in Switzerland.
A greater success followed at the end of 2012 with the single Good Time (number 7 in the Swiss single charts). The accompanying album White was released in February 2013 and also entered the Swiss album charts. For the work Flava & Stevenson worked with Christopher S. , Sido , Stress , Jesse Ritch , Fat-K and FreeG , among others .
The single Love a Paris was released on May 24, 2013 . The singer Cesca Lara, who already took over the vocal part of the title Rio de Janeiro, took part as a guest musician . However, Love a Paris was not released via Kontor Records , but via Profimedia. The song reached number 10 in the Swiss single charts.
In April 2014 the album Quantum of Dance was released , which includes collaborations with Loona and Haddaway . It reached number 11 on the Swiss album charts.
Awards
After Flava & Stevenson celebrated great success in Switzerland, they signed a contract with the successful label Kontor Records . The label distributed the single Good Time worldwide and put the music video on its YouTube channel. The Swiss television SRF recorded the song as the Spengler Cup song 2012 and the playoff song 2012/2013. At the beginning of 2013, Flava & Stevenson were awarded gold for over 15,000 singles sold.
