Flavius Decius
Flavius Decius was a Roman patrician and consul in 529.
Decius came from the aristocratic family of the Decier . His father was Basilius Venantius , consul in 508; his brother Decius Paulinus . Decius escaped with some other senators after the capture of Rome by the Ostrogoth king Totila on December 17, 546 to Constantinople .
