Flavius Martinus
Flavius Martinus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman army living in the 3rd century AD .
A building inscription that was found at the Banna fort and that is dated to 297 proves that Martinus was a centurion . The inscription also indicates that he was the praepositus of an unknown unit that was stationed in the province of Britannia at the time. Under his direction the praetorium , the principia and the balneum were renovated at the site .
