Fleur de Bière

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fleur de Bière (French for beer flower ) is the name of a high-proof spirit mainly produced in Alsace ( France ) . Similar to pomace brandy , it is traditionally made from the residues of beer production ( beer mash ). This gives it a sweetish-hoppy taste that reminds many of exotic fruits.
