Fleurus Island is an island off the Danco coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 800 m south of Delaite Island in Wilhelmina Bay .
The island was first shown on an Argentine map from 1950. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1956 after the steam-powered British transport ship Fleurus , which had operated in the area in 1928.
